Tired of using harsh chemicals to scour the tub? Make an easy, green change now. A nice mix of baking soda and borax makes the best cleaning product for your bath.
First, find a small old-fashioned, mason jar with a screw-top. Thrift stores usually have dozens of these. Drill several holes in the lid. A handful of natural rubber bands stretched around the middle give the glass a little attitude as well as a non-slip grip.
For the cleaning solution, get:
1 cup borax
1 cup baking soda
1/8 cup of lavender buds
Combine and mix the ingredients in the mason jar. Sprinkle on the sink, tub, or countertop, then use a scrubber, brush, or sponge to clean. Rinse thoroughly. The lavender should leave behind a fresh, clean scent. Who knew cleaning could be so much fun and so healthy for the environment?
