This bathroom vanity features a kirei board counter.

Made through the use of non-toxic adhesives that do not emit formaldehyde, kirei board is manufactured from the stalks of the sorghum plant. They plants are typically are burned or thrown into landfills after the edible portion of the plant is harvested for food.

Bamboo is another great alternative for traditional old-growth lumber harvested from forests. Grown in controlled forests, it takes bamboo only three to five years to reach maturity, while it takes old-growth trees 120 years, making bamboo a great green product.
